UltraViolet at the Now Hear This Festival featuring the world premieres of 3 works by Evelin Ramon, Anna Pidgorna, and Monica Pearce. This concert is made possible by the support of a Concept to Realization Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.

My current chamber activities include performing with improvisation sextet damn magpies, UltraViolet Ensemble (saxophone, cello, flute, piano), the Edmonton Saxophone Quartet, folk-rock band Next Stop Otago, and work with Edmonton musicians and dance companies.

SubArctic is a monthly experimental concert series pairing dancers, musicians, text, and visual artists in a totally improvised context.  Co-curating with dancer Jen Mesch and hosted by Mile Zero Dance in Edmonton, our first season welcomed over 50 artists to the stage.

I am the current President of New Music Edmonton, a concert society producing events based around contemporary sonic arts.  In 2015 NME celebrated its 30th anniversary and 5th anniversary of its annual festival, Now Hear This.

Curto-Circuito is a series of summer workshops, masterclasses, and concerts for young composers at the Universities of São Paulo and Campinas, co-created with composer André Mestre.  From these courses and collaborations, our first year produced 13 world premieres of student works and 3 premieres of professors’ works.  In 2015 Curto-Circuito expanded with the addition of pianist, Roger Admiral.  Maintaining our “music laboratory” where composers are free to explore the limits of the saxophone and the piano either in duet or solo, composers were challenged to improvise and work “in real time” with sound.
